                 After kindergarten      12:00 - 2:45 p.m
                 After school                2:45 - 6:15 p.m.

School Year Program

The SACC program serves children 5 days a week. SACC does not provide drop-in, short term, or partial week service.

- Before School (BS) - 7:15 a.m. until school begins.

- After Kindergarten (AK) - End of morning kindergarten school class until the end of regular school day. Kindergarten children needing service after the end of the regular school day must be registered for both the After Kindergarten (AK) and After School (AS) SACC sessions.

- After School (AS) - End of school day until 6:15 p.m. Fairfax County Public Schools dismiss children early on Mondays. SACC service begins when the children are released.

- Winter/Spring/Summer Programs - SACC operates Winter, Spring and Summer Programs at a number of consolidated sites. Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis, and additional fees are assessed for each program. The centers are open from 7:15 a.m. through 6:15 p.m.

SACC Program Highlights 2007-2008

SACC will be exploring international news for the 2008-2009 school year.  The SACC beats will be replaced by four news departments: Arts & Culture, Science & Technology, Fitness & Wellness, and Political Science.  Throughout the year SACC centers will receive a News Flash by email that will highlight a current news event that is to be incorporated into the center's curriculum.

Both SACC rooms will take on a "life of their own: as the become a nexus of activity.  Room 1 will become the Media Center where the news is gathered, researched, investigated and then reported.  Room 2 will become a city center called the Metro Hub as it becomes the life of the center. The Metro Hub may be filled with a restaurant, museum, shops, marquees, and a compaign headquarters.
