Great Falls Day:

The Great Falls Historical Society respectfully requests the assistance of Cooper Middle School Volunteers to perform the following tasks for Great Falls Day:

(1) Prior to Sunday, May 5th
Assist with preparing display boards of local history.  GFHS will provide the photos. Some research may be required, otherwise just assembling the photos and descriptions on foam boards.  All materials provided.
(2) Sunday, May 5th - Event Set Up
Assist with setting up the event from 6:00am to 12 noon
(3) Sunday, May 5th - During the Event
Direct traffic, provide information, assist with coordination
(4) Sunday May 5th - Event Take Down
Assist with packing up the event.  6:00pm to 8:00 pm

McLean Firehouse Youth Center:

1st and 3rd Tuesdays of Every Month. 
1st Tuesday is volunteer work at the Firehouse, the 3rd Tuesday is in the Fairfax community with van service provided from Cooper Middle School.  Join the after-school program buses at the Kiss&Ride in back of Cooper for transportation.
You must
1) pre-register at the Firehouse
2) be a member of the McLean Firehouse -- and you can always join!

Moms Against Poverty:

Ongoing Projects:
Organize a drive at school or in your neighborhood to collect baby items, food, or cleaning products to create a unique packages that will make a difference to your neighbors in need.  Go to http://www.restoninterfaith.org and click on Volunteer.
