New this school year, FCPS is allowing students to bring their Personally Owned Devices (POD) to school for instructional use in the classroom. Use of the device is restricted to instructional activities while under the supervision of a staff member. Students using a POD must follow the county's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and use the FCPS wireless network.
The device types that can be utilized by Cooper students for this program may include only one of the following: a
laptop/netbook, tablet computer,
or an eReader.
Please click on the links below to read through Cooper's Personally Owned Device Flyer and other important information about the program. Parents should review the permission/registration form with their child. The online form below must be completed and submitted, and the POD Permission/Registration form must be filled out and returned to school. The device must then be approved and a registration sticker applied by the Cooper Tech Team before it can be used in the classroom. The registration process will start in early November and will be advertised through KIT messages, morning announcements, and the Cooper Newsletter.
