Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has introduced two new Parent Information Lines for Korean- and Spanish-speaking parents. This new resource enables a parent who speaks one of these languages to call a special phone number, leave a message in his or her language, and receive a return phone call in that language from an FCPS staff member within 24 hours.

A flyer with specific information on how to use the new Parent Information Lines was mailed to the homes of all parents whose preferred correspondence language is Korean or Spanish.

The new Parent Information Lines can be used to learn general information about the school system and to facilitate communication between Korean- and Spanish-speaking parents and their children’s schools.

The new Parent Information Lines are not the same as the FCPS hot line, which provides emergency information recorded in English, Korean, and Spanish. The hot line will continue to operate as it has in the past.
