Columbia Elementary Implements new Progress Report
Fairfax County Public Schools is implementing a new Elementary Progress Report: Communicating Achievement to Parents. Columbia Elementary School will be implementing the new progress report beginning this school year. The new progress report:
Provides parents with comprehensive information about how their child is learning.
Aligns with the Program of Studies (POS) curriculum students are learning.
Provides teachers with resources to communicate more exact and consistent assessment.
Incorporates research-based best practices in student grading and reporting.
Reports Life, Work, and Citizenship skills separately from academic achievement.

Thanksgiving Luncheon
Please join us and your child for our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon on November 11th, 2011.
Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule
School will dismiss on Wednesday, November 23rd two hours early (approximately at 1:50 p.m.) and the school will be colsed Thursday, November 24th and 25th. We wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
