Clearview PTA sponsors family events:

	Ice Cream Social held in conjunction with the November Book Fair
	BINGO, spring and fall
	Make it and Take it, a kid's crafting event, in December
	Carrabba's Back to School Dinner
	Barnes and Noble Book Nights

Clearview PTA money supports:

	Field trips for each grade
	Assemblies for everyone
	Assignment notebooks, Yellow Jacket newsletter, First Day and Tuesday folders for communication
	Technology purchases and the computer lab

Clearview PTA has funded these large purchases in the recent past:

	Cubbies
	New playground
	WBZZ equipment for the morning news show

Clearview PTA is active all year in many varied programs and projects:

	Provides classroom teachers and specialists with money for classroom incidentals
	Provides funding for GEMS (Girls Excelling in Math and Science)
	Coordinates a fall membership drive
	Collects Giant and Safeway receipts for technology
	Supports the Herndon Homecoming Parade, and Jump Rope for Heart, Volleyball Clinic, and Chorus Camp
	Works cooperatively with our business partner, Vastera
	Rededicates the Memorial Garden as necessary, purchasing new plaques and landscaping
	Chairs the Reflections program
	Sponsors dedications for departing staff, Staff Appreciation Week in May, and Back-to-School Staff Breakfast in August
	Provides funding for 5th and 6th grade after school activities
	Creates and distributes a school directory with phone numbers, listed by class, in the fall
	Charters Boy Scout Troop 1570 and Cub Scout Pack 1570
	Supports FLEX (Foreign Language) and HOS (Science) after school classes
	Manages two major fundraisers a year, the Sally Foster gift wrap Fall Fundraiser, and the Original Yours Art works Spring fundraiser
	Collects General Mills Box Tops
	Supports landscaping projects and landscaping maintenance around the school
