Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss is one of America's most famous authors. His real name was Theodore Seuss Geisel, but he used pen names such as Dr. Seuss and Theo. LeSieg (that's Geisel spelled backwards) when he wrote. He wrote over 40 books in his lifetime. His books often contained silly characters and situations that he made up. Dr. Seuss loved to play with words, so he often used made up words in his stories. Many of his stories were written in rhyme.
