George W. Bush was born on July 6, 1946.
He spent his childhood in Texas with his parents, George and
Barbara. George W. Bush attended Yale University in
Connecticut and Harvard in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1977
George W. won the congressional primary against Jim Reese.
Although he lost the election, George W. realized he liked
being the center of attention and was a natural at politics.
In 1994, George W. became the governor of Texas. In 1999, he
was sworn in for a second term as governor. He then started
his race for the presidency. George W. Bush was elected to
be the Republican party's presidential candidate. He ran
against Al Gore, who was the Vice-President of the U.S.
George W. won the race, and became the 43rd President of the
United States.
