This year, there are three second grades. Mrs. Zavaleta, Ms. Kane, and Mrs. Swartz have enjoyed teaching second graders for many years. They have planned an exciting year of learning. During the year, we have cricket friends, practice bartering in our very own Mexican Marketplace, and adventure across the United States to learn about several American Indian tribes. In Science, the students will become animal experts exploring different coverings and types of locomotion.
Each day is filled with reading, writing, and math activities integrated across the curriculum. With the teachers learning along with their students, there is never a dull moment in second grade! |
