| All students in grades K-6 attend music class. Students learn about the basics of reading and writing music, singing together, and playing classroom Orff instruments. From the third grade, students play recorder. Playing the recorder gives students the opportunity to apply all that they have learned about reading music. In addition, all students learn how music is used around the world, making connections to the curriculum in their classrooms. |
