Chantilly High School Career Center News
(Updated 08/07/2008)

This section has the most up-to-date information for the Career Center and will be updated continually throughout the school year.

Welcome Back Chantilly High School Students, Parents, Faculty and Staff!  Here is some important information for the first quarter of the school year.

Senior College Information Night (Monday, September 22 at 7pm)
The Department of Student Services encourages any seniors and their families planning to apply to colleges to attend this informational program on Monday, September 22 at 7pm in the Chantilly Auditorium.  Information will be shared on the overall college application process, including transcripts, test scores, letters of recommendation, the personal statement (essay) writing process and the role of the school counselor.  Both students and parents are highly encouraged to attend this event.

College Fair & College Night (October 19 and 20)
College fairs are an excellent way to research multiple colleges and make personal contact with an admissions officer at a school.  Juniors are HIGHLY encouraged to attend a college fair program to conduct initial research on possible college choices and any seniors that are still trying to narrow their college interests should also attend.

Fairfax County Public Schools sponsors a College Fair and College Night program every fall and this year’s College Fair will be held on Sunday, October 19 at Fair Oaks Mall from 7:30 to 9:30pm and the College Night at Hayfield Secondary School will be held on Monday, October 20 from 7:00 to 9:00pm.

The College Fair program at Fair Oaks Mall on October 19 now requires an admission ticket for each family.  Tickets are free and are available in the Career Center and also online at www.fcps.edu/ss/FCPSCollegeFairNight
