The Model Judiciary Program students are busy preparing
for a criminal jury trial Commonwealth of Virginia v. Hunt,
which will take place at the Fairfax County Courthouse in
late January. Our student attorneys and their witnesses will
compete with other county high school students in this moot
court competition.
Attorneys Phil Raptis and Julia Judkins are mentoring the
prosecution and defense teams in the rules of evidence and
trial techniques involved in making opening/closing statements
and conducting direct and cross examinations.

in cooperation with the FCPS system. Club sponsors are Mr.

Throughout this program, Chantilly students are exposed to
the legal process of our country. Attorneys Phil Raptis, David
Ward and parent attorney team, Roscoe and Deb Howard mentored
our students for the past few months and are greatly responsible
for the success of this program. Ms. Helen D’Amours,
CHS Librarian and Mr. Ken Prowell, Government teacher are
the Chantilly staff members who sponsor this program.
