student activities program that
will adhere to the needs of the
school and community. The variety
of student activities provide
for a wide
range of student interests and
are formulated to improve the
self-respect and self esteem
of all of its members. Chantilly
High School has
developed a student activities
program to accommodate the diversity
of the student body. The willingness
to allow new ideas and activities
enables students to provide for
their needs and interests. Chantilly
High School believes one of its
major roles is to provide more
than a high academic setting.
The student activity program
provides students
with the necessary outlets that
enable them to become well-rounded
students in our society.
The student activities program at Chantilly High School provides
strong extracurricular and co-curricular activities that allow
students to learn to balance academic and extracurricular responsibilities
through participation in athletics, clubs, fine arts and social
events. As an extension of the educational process, the activities
program provides opportunities for intellectual, emotional, ethical,
aesthetic, physical, and social growth.
The office of student activities is directly responsible for all
clubs, athletic teams, and other student functions. The director
and assistant directors of student activities supervise over seventy
different student related functions, clubs, and athletic teams.
Each activity has a faculty sponsor or a county approved sponsor.
The variety and scope of the program allows students to participate
in organizations that appeal to their interests, talents, and needs.
