Chantilly
High School is an institution which takes pride in its academic
achievements, and always works to provide the best of opportunities
for its students. The teachers, administrators, counselors,
and other professionals strive to meet the individual needs
and interests of each pupil, and the College and Career Centers
within
the school provide numerous opportunities for students to integrate
their high school experience with their college and career
aspirations.
The Media Center
maintains a large CD-ROM collection and offers services which
include satellite long-distance learning, Internet
and database searching and satellite capability for course
offerings as well as the four Fairfax County teaching/learning
channels.
In the past two years, Chantilly has increased the number
of networkable computers by more than 80%, and all classrooms
and
offices are networked, providing students and teachers with
full Internet and e-mail capability. State-of-the-art Writing
and
Research Labs feature full multimedia equipment designed
to enhance student written communication skills in English,
Social Studies,
Foreign Language, and Science. Other updated computer labs
include those in Computer Science and Research, Chemistry,
Geosystems,
Business, and two multipurpose multimedia labs.
The Chantilly
Academy for Engineering and Scientific Technology offers
17 professional and technical preparatory courses to juniors
and seniors from
Chantilly and 27 other high school locations in Fairfax
County.
