Driver's Education Information
The following website will provide all rising 10th graders the necessary information about the Driver’s Education Classroom class and licensing process. http://www.fcps.edu/is/hpe/drivered.shtml
Partnership for Safe Teen Driving (PSTD)
All Driver Education students who are enrolled in the class after September 2010 are required to attend a 90 minute presentation with a parent. This is a state mandated requirement before a student is able to receive a certificate of completion for classroom driver’s education.

| Who: | Current 10th graders – should plant to attend on the date that coincides with the quarter they are in the classroom. However, any of the presentations are able to be attended. After attending the presentation record of their attendance will be entered into their school record. |
Current Junior or Senior students who have yet to attend the presentation will be require to pre-register and pay a $30 registration fee (Registration Form). After attending the presentation a certificate of completion will be sent to the student as proof of attendance.
**If the dates listed above are not convenient, students are able to attend a presentation at any Fairfax County Public School that is offering the presentation. Please identify which school you are from when you arrive. Dates of presentations at other schools can be located on the school’s website.
DEC-1 RE-ISSUE
Beginning on August 1, 2012, Chantilly High School will require a $10 fee for replacement and re-issue DEC-1 cards. Those students requiring a re-issue of their DEC-1 card must fill out the “RE-ISSUE DEC-1 Request” form. Instructions on how to complete the form and receive the card are located on the form.
