College Visits
College representatives schedule private visits to Chantilly High School from mid-September through November. These visits provide a personal touch that may not be available in a school's literature. Representatives inform students about the school's admissions process and deadlines, campus life, housing, majors available and scholarships. Students have the ability to ask questions and this is often a chance for students to meet the person who will read their applications in the future. Only juniors and seniors are eligible to participate in these visits.
The schedule of college visits are updated daily in Family Connection (accessible via Blackboard at http://fcps.blackboard.com), under the “Colleges” tab.
NOTE: This schedule also includes evening presentations that are being hosted throughout the Northern Virginia area. Chantilly is not sponsoring any of these evening events; it is the student’s responsibility to follow the registration instructions posted.More information on the registration process for these visits is available here.
Missed the visit? Students can visit the Career Center to pick up any brochures from the college and also access notes from each visit through their Family Connection accounts. (All visit notes are posted in the Document Library, which can be accessed from the student’s home page.)
