High School Credits: 2 per course

Course Description - This course introduces students to the residential construction industry. Areas of focus include framing, electricity, nails, fasteners and adhesives, wood building materials, floor systems, drywall, finishing, cost estimating, blueprint reading, and advanced applications. Preparation includes academics, practical applications, and testing. Students are prepared to enter the construction industry, or continue their education at 2 or 4 year post-secondary institutions.
