The mission of the Library Media Center is to support the curriculum by integrating service
and instruction to ensure that all students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.
The Library Media Center is a place to research, do homework, read, and study.
Students may visit the library before school or after school without a pass. On late bus days students must arrive before 2:30 p.m. unless they have a pass from a teacher. Late bus passes will be issued to students by the library staff.
During class time students must have a teacher-signed pass to visit the library.
During 3rd (PLUS) period, only two students at a time from each class may be issued a pass to visit the library.
Students will not be able to come to the library during their lunch.
Books are checked out for a three-week period.
Reference books and magazines may not be checked out.
A fine of 10¢ per school day up to a max charge of $5 per item is charged for overdue books.
The library enforces all CVHS and FCPS computer use guidelines.
Patrons may request library books via interlibrary loan from other FCPS schools.
Please, no food or drink in the library.
Ask the library staff for help researching a topic, word processing, reading suggestions, or using computers.
