MADRIGAL ENSEMBLE (Extra Curriculum)
Grades : 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Individaul and successful
audition
Students are offered advanced choral experiences
for selected mixed voices. Emphasis
is placed on the development of musicianship
and proficiency in ensemble performance. Course content includes
a study of Roman choral literature, vocal techniques, and sight-singing.
The Madrigals perform mostly acapella madrigal style music and
some jazz style of music for Broadway-Pop concert. Students are
required to buy their own Renaissance costumes for the performance.
Rehearsals are on every Monday and Wednesday afterschool, and
performaces both in and out of shcool are required.
