CentreView Art Work

Art instruction is taught by a certified art teacher once every two weeks for one hour and ten minutes. The art teachers, Ms. Bowman and Mrs. Czarny, work in collaboration with the classroom teacher to design instruction to integrate with other areas of the curriculum. Students explore the world of art and artists who work in that world. In addition, students have the opportunity to express their feelings and ideas and develop skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, ceramics, paper sculpture, architecture and fibers.

Art experiences focus on solving problems independently and collaboratively in creative ways. In the spring, selected students have an opportunity to display their art work in a Pyramid Art Show at Centreville High School in conjunction with Youth Art Month.
