Guided Study

The Guided Study program is part of our Professional Learning Community and designed to promote student success and self efficacy. Every week, a student’s case manager meets with them weekly to discuss current grades in all classes. During this conference, the student is informed of accomplishments and areas that might need some improvement. If there is a need for additional support in an academic class, then the student will be referred to the Guided Study program. The Guided Study program allows our students to work one on one with an instructor to improve grades and study habits. The session is held for thirty minutes per day during an elective period. Time devoted to Guided Study is not counted against the student in any way. This program has been implemented with the student’s needs in mind. Ultimately, the experience is a positive one with the student feeling a sense of accomplishment.
