Fourth Grade Fun!!!  What an exciting year!  Our fourth graders will be building a foundation in non-fiction and research, historical and realistic fiction, reading and writing poetry, and exploring different genres such as biographies and fantasy. They will be learning how to become mathematical problem solvers by learning the fundamental concepts of number sense,   operations and mathematical facts, geometry, data analysis, measurement, and patterns/functions.  They will be expanding their knowledge and use of the scientific process through hands on activities and experiments in Magnetism and Electricity, Weather, Fast Plants, and Ecosystems Units.  They will also be exploring Virginia History from Native Americans to Contemporary Virginia.
