Gunston Hall

Gunston Hall is George  Mason's home. It is a self-sufficient plantation. Gunston Hall was once the center of a 5,500 acre tobacco and wheat plantation. It took five years to be built, from 1755 to 1760. Beyond the garden there is a deer park and the Potomac River. There are two entrances, the river entrance, and the land entrance. The river entrance was used more because more people lived across the river.
