An island
is a landform with water on all sides. There are four types of islands.
A volcanic island is an island that was formed by an ocean volcano.
A continental island is a piece of land that broke off of a continent.
A coral island is an island formed by a coral reef. A barrier island is
an island formed by the wind blowing sand and dirt from the land near by.
