Davy Crockett

Davy Crockett was born in Tennessee in the year 1786. Crockett lived in a log cabin. When Davy was 6 his uncle taught him to hunt. They shot birds, bears, and deer. Crockett loved hunting with his uncle. Davy Crockett and his family had to move to a new place and had to build a new home. Crockett asked if he could hunt with his uncle, but since his uncle had to help build the home his father said he was old enough to hunt alone. It was hard at first, but soon Davy started to bring enough food home to eat. In the spring the Crockett's moved to an Inn because their house flooded. At the Inn a man asked if Crockett would bring his cattle to V.A for him, Crockett stayed in V.A for a while. A few weeks later Crockett went back to Tennessee. When Crockett was 13 he went school. He wanted to learn to read and write. Once again Crockett took cattle to V.A for work. Crockett stayed from home 3 years. After 3 years, Crockett went home. Crockett was a United States congressman and fought for freedom. In 1836 Crockett helped Texas gain freedom from Mexico. He fought for freedom but in the first war he was killed, but years after that the Texans gained freedom. He was for sure a brave, great man that believed in what he put his heart to.
