Villages

    V is for villages.  Chinese people built their houses in villages.  The first villages were built about 5,000 years ago.  Villages consisted of houses and farms and nearby there were markets for the people to go shopping.  People’s houses surrounded the center of the village.  All villages had a center, which was the central meeting place, usually near the markets.  There are many villages in China made up of groups of people who worked together.  Villages still exist in China today.
