Weapons of the Middle Ages

Have you ever thought about what kind of weapons there were in the Middle Ages? There were many. There was the Flail, the Bow, the crossbow-everything! Middle Age weapons were very different than today's weapons, but yet the same. Those weapons started the idea of the modern weapons.

Many weapons used back then are used as models in museums now. Some are legends like the bow or crossbow. Other weapons include the billhook, the flail, the warhammer the pike and the poleaxe! Trust me that wasn't all, some were even used as farm equipment like the billhook which is a cross between a curved knife and an axe. The legendary weapons include the bow-a flexible piece of wood with a cord attached to each side of it, the crossbow-which is pretty much a bow with a trigger to fire the arrow, spears-a sharpened point on a piece of wood. Warhammers are also common. Warhammers are a hammer head with a spike on the end.

Weapons of the middle ages were, once again legends in the weapons era. However, modern weapons are of course, much more effective though. But back then, crossbows and Warhammers were as modern as you could get.
