Camelot Hearing Association (CHA)

Welcome to the Camelot Hearing Association or CHA for short! CHA is a group made up of primarily parents, and staff, who are devoted to promoting educational opportunities for the deaf and hard of hearing children. It is also a wonderful place to share ideas and network with other parents thus learning from one another to promote the success of our children. CHA is a wonderful beginning for new parents who enter the Center and need a mentor to guide them.

I have been a member of CHA for four years. In 2004/2005 school year I played a active role in the CHA social events. I enjoyed working with Karen Williams last year planning the social events so much that I decided to Chair this coming school year. I have a daughter who is hearing impaired. Because of CHA, I have become more of an advocate for the deaf and hard of hearing children.

From my personal perspective, I have a son who is hearing impaired. CHA was, and continues to be, one of the best mentors of this “foreign world of hearing” for all of my family. I have been a member for almost three years and I will always cherish my time spent working with CHA.
