Supporting academics

The ESOL teachers are integral members of the reading team. Mrs. Thomas and Ms. Wiggs work with ESOL students during their regular Language Arts periods.

In addition, the ESOL teachers have a classroom inclusion program. Being available in the classroom, teacher instruction is supported and the students get the individual help needed to achieve academic success. The ESOL teacher can provide helpful ideas to classroom teachers, as well, on how to modify lessons and provide appropriate testing for these students.
