Science and Social Studies
Programs at Bucknell
Past, present and future coming together

In addition to following the Fairfax County Program of Studies and the Virginia State Standards of Learning, Bucknell is fortunate in having a lot of additional supplementary activities. Science and Social Studies are an integral part of our curriculum and a lot of fun.
These workshops spark the imagination and curiosity of students by presenting fun, hands-on science experiences for our third, fourth, and fifth grade students.
Bucknells fourth graders became Cultural Detectives with the help of the ladies from Mount Vernon.
The JROTC members from West Potomac High School helped us prepare for the fourth grade social studies SOL tests. Thanks!
A special invitation to Gunston Hall made history come alive for these third graders. They also had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Cheney, the wife of the Vice-President.
