Celebrating Our Love of Reading

Several familiar storybook characters joined us on Thursday, April 6. Bucknell students and teachers look forward each year to this special day, designing hats that represent their favorite books. Then at 2:00 p.m. the rule about "no hats to be worn in the school" was suspended as students paraded through the halls to a rousing Soussa March. From preschool to sixth grade, creativity abounded. Prizes were awarded to the students at each grade level with the most creative and most like their book represented. You can tell from the pictures below what a fun day it was.
