FCPS Keep In Touch Counselor's Corner
Mr. Pierce Prior is Bucknell's friendly counselor. Whether in the classroom teaching a lesson or assisting students in his room or in the hall, he can always be counted on to have a positive attitude.
School Counseling Services

Coordinate and organize various programs throughout the school year to promote a positive school climate where all children are encouraged to be successful, thoughtful, and compassionate memebers of our school community. Provide student, family and staff support toward this same purpose.

Arrange and provide individual and group counseling for students.

Run classroom guidance lessons to promote character education and teach students to be safe and ethical individuals.

Invite parents to learn and become more involved in their child's academic life by sponsoring Parent Workshops.

Act as informational resource and support service for parents and staff alike.

Promote student success and clear communication.

Red Ribbon Week Celebrated in October to highlight the importance of being Drug Free.
Character Education -
Bucknell's 'Community of Caring' values are taught and reinforced through guidance lessons and daily interactions. SDFY Bookmark Contest
Students compete within FCPS in this annual event to create the winning "Bookmark" based on a "Drug Free" theme. Career Day
Representatives from various careers are invited to the school to share their career experiences and promote student interest in setting future career goals.
