Our partnership with the
Federal Bureau of Investigation was formed on December 13, 1995. Former superintendent
of Fairfax County Schools, Dr. Robert Spillane, attended the inaugural celebration.
Through the FBI's Junior
Special Agent Program
assistance is provided to the sixth grade students by members focusing on
anger management, physical fitness, staying alcohol and drug free, and resisting
negative peer pressure.
Several members from the
FBI participate in our mentoring
program each year. They provide one-to-one mentoring and an exciting winter
party for all the mentees.
In May a culminating activity
is held for all the schools participating in the FBI program, both from D.C.
and Virginia. A picnic and Olymphic style physical fitness competition is
enjoyed by all.
A Graduation ceremony
sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the Junior Special agents
is held each year in May.
