Students must be at least 16 years of age in order to apply. They should have earned at least 13 credits, including two PE credits, prior to applying. The first step is to contact the LCA counselor and schedule a visit and tour of the school. After that, if the student and counselor feel that LCA is a good option, a four-day orientation will be scheduled. During the four-day orientation period, students are given assignments and are observed on their attitude, discipline and focus. At the end of the fourth day, a student interview is conducted by a panel consisting of staff and business partners. Students are notified that afternoon if they have been accepted. If they are accepted, they need to withdraw from their base school and report to LCA the next day. All students begin on a 30-day trial period.
