2008 Virginia School Census

The 2008 Virginia School Census will begin on March 1st and end on July 15th. This census, which occurs every three years and is mandated by the commonwealth of Virginia, determines the fair distribution of state sales tax revenues throughout the state. The census counts every child through age nineteen (19) whether or not the child attends public or private school or is home-schooled. For each child counted between the ages of 5 and 19, approximately $3,000 will be returned to our schools. For further information about the census, users can go to www.fcps.edu/news/census.htm
