The 2012 Boosterthon Fun Run was a great success! Staff and students had fun running laps around the Boosterthon Speedway. Thanks to everyone who pledged to support our school!

Brookfield Staff and Students have SPIRIT! 2012 SCA Hat Day!

Brookfield families and staff enjoyed Family Math Night. Families played math games, shopped at the book fair, enjoyed pizza and baked goods and completed a math scavenger hunt!

March - Brookfield Staff and Students celebrated Read Across America Day on March 2 by reading!

March - 6th grade students competed in a class basketball tournament!

February - Students participated in the Brookfield Science Fair sponsored by our PTA.

February - 3rd graders created delicious models of the moon phases.

February - The winners of the PTA Reflections contest were honored on WBRK. They received certificates and medals from our Principal, Mrs. Miller.

February - Brookfield Students participated in our 6th Annual Schoolwide Spelling Bee.
Congratulations to our First Place Winner, Adrian and our Second Place Winner Aliza.
All of our spellers did a great job!

February - 5th graders learned about area and perimeter by creating shapes in the hallways.

February - 4th grade students learned about Colonial times during Brookfield's Colonial Day in February. Musicians from the Fife and Drum Corp performed and led 4th graders in colonial dress in a parade around the school! Food and activities all day long led to a lot of learning for these students!

February - Kindergarten students in Mrs. Hansen's class created imagined what they would look like when they were 100 years old for the 100th day of school.

January - Brookfield students in Strings and Band performed in their winter concert for our school audience and for parents.

January - Brookfield students in the 5th and 6th grade chorus performed in their winter concert.

January - Students in Mrs. Tarascio's 1st grade presented How-To projects. We learned a lot from these posters and demonstrations!

January: Students in grades 4-6 participated in preliminary rounds in their classrooms and came to cheer on our finalists in the school wide Geography Bee. Everyone did a wonderful job demonstrating their geography knowledge! Congratulations to our Geography Bee Winner, James and our First Runner Up, Trevor!

December - Brookfield Staff and Students enjoyed an assembly presented by our PTA. Luis Garay, Percussion World taught us about percussion instruments around the world. Some of us even got to play music with them!

December - Students in Mrs. Dodge’s kindergarten class celebrate diversity as they learn about Holidays around the World. Here they have fun while learning about Japanese New Year with Ms. Van Keuren.

Kindergarten students and their families attended a Literacy night to learn more about reading and working with words!

November - Brookfield staff and students showed their spirit on our 80s Spirit Day!

November - Brookfield 1st graders and their families came spent an evening at school for 1st Grade Literacy Night. Students and families enjoyed activities centered around reading and writing!

October - Brookfield Kindergarten students enjoyed a trip to Stribling Orchard. They saw animals, learned about apples, picked apples and enjoyed eating them after returning to school!

October - Brookfield 2nd Graders went on a Math Trailblazers search in our neighborhood to identify math concepts in our world! Students captured images using digital cameras.

October - Brookfield Students participated in the Chantilly Pyramid Chorus concert,
conducted by our very own Mrs. Eggan!

October - Brookfield 2nd Graders enjoyed a field trip to Mount Vernon.

 October - Look at all these readers! Students who participated in the Brookfield Summer Reading Program gathered in the library to celebrate!

October - Brookfield students enjoyed Joe Romano's Books: The Magic is Real assembly.
