- MarcoPolo - This is a valuable resource for teachers, students, and parents, giving ideas for exploring all areas of the curriculum: reading, writing, geography, mathematics, social studies, science and arts.
- Fairfax County Public Library - Reserve a book, renew a book, search the catalog, see what the county library is offering near you... a great resource
- The organization, Read Aloud Virginia, offers ideas on reading to children from the early years through the upper grades.
- Yahooligan's - Can't find it in MarcoPolo, Grolier, or Virginia's Community of Learning? Try this. It is a younger version of the popular Yahoo search engine.
- National Zoo - Look at the animals, watch a video, plan a trip to the zoo, learn about zoology/biology/botany/seasons. This is one of the best!
- Smithsonian Museum - This is almost as good as going downtown to see it in person. Saves on the parking and walking.
