| The morning news program is broadcast each morning over closed circuit TV. | The student council is an executive group which can be described as the "heart and soul" of the school. Braddock Elementary School children in 4th and 5th grades, have the opportunity to join the strings program. The strings program offers free 45 minute lessons once a week to students interested in studying violin, viola, cello, or bass. Many students have participated in Solo/Ensemble Festival and have received Outstanding ratings. The students perform for the school and families in the spring. |

| Band | Thanksgiving Lunch & Walk-a-Thon | SOL Review |
| In Fairfax County Public Schools students are allowed to join Band in the 5th grade. At Braddock all of the 5th grade classes attend a Band demonstration assembly during the first week of school, where they are introduced to the instruments. Each student has a group lesson once a week. At the end of the year the students perform in their first concert. | Veterans Day was a special day with so many visitors joining us for lunch followed by our 1st Annual Walk-a-Thon.
