Belvedere News Network (BNN)
BNN is a daily news show produced by two teams of 5th grade students who alternate quarters. Each crew rotates through a series of jobs, allowing them the opportunity to work the equipment, write the script, be on air, and direct the show. The Belvedere day ends with the news show, which highlights a History or “Did You Know?” fact, student and staff birthdays, lunch, weather, information about school events, and guests from other grades or clubs with announcements. Fourth grade students are invited each June to audition for the following year’s BNN crew. It is an important job that students take on with a sense of responsibility and fun!
