Family Field Trip
Our Belvedere Community Field Trip to the Natural History Museum was enjoyed by more than 14 of our families. Forty-three Belvedere family members explored one of our nation’s greatest cultural treasures. Third, fourth, and fifth graders and some younger siblings learned about dinosaurs, insects, biodiversity, and precious gems. Before departing, the students received museum floor maps and decided what to see. Many students reported that learning about the mummies was their favorite element. We experienced great weather and an easy trip into our nation’s capital. Our next Community Field Trip will be in early June 2013 to the National Air and Space Museum Udvar Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia. Belvedere teachers are welcome to attend.
Nonprofit Organization Information
In accordance with FCPS Regulation 1367 (available online), twice every school year, the last Wednesday in September and February, Belvedere Elementary will send home materials of nonprofit organizations in student's Wednesday folders. If you would like your organization's information to be included please contact the school office and bring in a sample copy for approval. If approved for distribution, the materials should be provided to the office no later than the Monday prior to the distribution date.
