Dear Parents and Students,

The best thing you can do for your body this summer? Swim, run, fish, boat, bike, play. The best thing you can do for your brain? READ. Books, magazines, closed captions, newspapers, in English, in Spanish, in Russian, in Chinese; whatever you can get your hands on. Belle View teachers and staff encourage all students to spend their summers reading.

For students who participate in the Summer Reading Program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL) and bring their reading logs to school in September there will be a special treat! Click the links below for all sorts of information to support your summer reading:

• Fairfax County Public Schools for rising sixth and seventh grade students
  
• Kindergarten through Grade 6- 5th and 6th Graders are required to read at least one book over the summer and be prepared to complete a book project on it in September.
