English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program at Bailey’s Elementary school for the Arts and Sciences supports over 500 students in grades K-5.
The mission of ESOL Services is to develop the English proficiency of students, enhance their academic achievement, and collaborate with school staff to deliver meaningful instruction.
ESOL SERVICES…
- Offers a variety of hands-on instructional activities that allow students the opportunity to feel successful while participating in all content areas.
- Provide small group instruction to meet the individualized needs of the students.
- ESOL teachers are school based resources and provide expertise and assistance in planning effective strategies and practices within the classroom setting.
