A Performing Arts, program that allows children to enrich and extend the curriculum through dramatic creations, improvisations, and storytelling.  Bailey’s students benefit from a true theater experience. Creativity and Improvisation are key elements used in the Black Box Theater.

A Performing Arts teacher that works in collaboration with classroom teachers to create units of dramatic study that help children make connections between the concepts in the arts and across subject areas. For example, students write and perform scripts based on their Social Studies unit.

Bailey's students performing numerous productions such as: The Wiz, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Annie, Education Rocks Concert (student written), Beauty and the Beast, and most recently Aladdin Jr.

What this all means is… students learn by doing, build their self esteem and become valuable citizens by discovering self, examining self, and coming to understand their interrelationship to the human world…This defines…DRAMA
