Bailey's Enrollment Process
Magnet Application Process
In Boundary
All students within Bailey’s attendance, once they register for school at Bailey’s, benefit from the magnet program. Students within the Bailey’s attendance area do not need to apply through the magnet lottery application process to enroll at Bailey’s.. View Bailey's boundary (PDF)
Out-Of-Boundary:
Bailey's receives an estimated 300 applications each year for approximately 40 - 50 openings. View Bailey's boundary (PDF)
Out-of-boundary students must submit an application postmarked no later than March 1, 2012 for consideration of enrollment for the following school year. Factors for consideration:
-must be entering grades K through fourth
-must be proficient in English
-must be "on or above grade level" status in language arts and math
Students are randomly selected through a lottery process. Those selected are notified and given a period of time in which to accept or decline. Any spaces available are then filled by returning to the lottery.
