Why does the PTA sponsor so many fundraising events?
We have established a budget of more than $12,000. This includes more than $4000 for field trips, $350 for SCA camp, $500 for the international picnic, funding for cultural events for the students. Special items the PTA is focusing on this year include benches for the school foyer and other areas (see separate article) and a kiosk for the front of the school to provide a more attractive way to announce events, as well as provide information about the school.
Fundraising allows us to pay for these activities. If our fundraising does not meet our goals, we will have to cut back on our support for activities that the PTA has traditionally assisted with. |

Upcoming Fundraising Events 2004-2005
Cookie Dough
Another one for the taste buds! Order forms will go home November 9th. Orders should be returned by November 19, and the dough will be delivered on November 30–you can pick it up at the Book Fair. (Note: we plan to repeat this fundraiser in the spring.)
Your Child’s Art
Here’s an opportunity to buy some fun and useful items and beautiful keepsakes with your child’s artwork imprinted. From keychains to t-shirts, and ceramic tiles to calendars, there is something for everyone on your gift list, as well as for your own use. The schedule has not been set, but most likely you will see the order forms and art after spring break, with orders delivered in time for Mothers Day.
Spirit Nights
We plan to organize a Spirit Night at McDonalds, where the teachers and principals will be on hand to help serve your food and join the fun. We get a percentage of the sales that evening. (We may consider holding other similar events.)

Ongoing Fundraising Events
There are several ways to donate money to the PTA without doing anything but your regular shopping. What a great way to show support for the students of Annandale Terrace! Programs like these help our school by bringing in funds to use for educational materials, field trips, and other functions that benefit the students. You can make a difference!!

Safeway Club Card for Education #6614999: After you register, each time you shop using your Safeway Club Card, 3% of your eligible purchases will go to Annandale Terrace.

BoxTops4Education:Save and bring in your General Mills and Betty Crocker Box Tops 4Education (collection box outside School’s office). Each boxtop is worth 10 cents. We earned almost $400.00 through this program last year and hope to increase that to $500.00 this year. |
