PALS (Parents Assisting with Language Services) |
|
In addition to professional translators at Annandale Terrace, parents are also encouraged to help others who do not speak English. Parent Volunteers, called PALS, are called upon occasionally to assist teachers and staff to communicate with families in their primary language. This communication may be through spoken translations, such as telephone calls, or face-to-face talking. PALS may also be asked to provide a written translation of a simple flyer or notice.
