School Dance Policy and Homecoming Guest Form

 

Annandale High School Dance Policy 2010

 

In order to have a successful dance, the following guidelines have been up in place for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.  All Students are expected to comply with these guidelines and will be asked to leave the dance if they do not.

 

• Students will not be admitted into the dance it they are dressed inappropriately for a school function.  And student who alters his/her dress during the dance will be asked to leave the event immediately and will be escorted out of the dance
• Students who are suspected of being under the influence of any substance will not be admitted into the dance and will be subjected to the FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities regulations.  The students parents will be notified and administrative action will occur.  If the student is part of an athletic team or other school club, the coach/sponsor will be notified as well.
• Students who do not maintain an appropriate style of dance will be asked to discontinue and if the problem persists be escorted out of the dance.  Students should not place one’s hand on inappropriate or private body parts, simulate sexual activities or partake in Public Displays of Affection.
• When entering the dance, each student will receive a wrist band that must be worn.
• 1st Offense – Students who display any type of behavior listed above will be warned only by an administrator by removing the wrist band.
• 2nd Offensive – If the infraction happens again and the student has no wrist band on, he/she will be asked to leave only by an administrator.
• This behavior includes the points described above as well as disrespect and not following requests of the administrators
