Ann Harper

Ms. Harper earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland. She attended the Maryland Institute College of Fine Arts and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico and Master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Before beginning her teaching in Fairfax County 16 years ago, she owned Harper and Associates Advertising in New Mexico. Harper and Associates created print, radio, and television spots for her clients which included Honeywell and Albuquerque Museum.

Before opening her own agency, she was Senior/Supervising Artist and later, Art Director of Competitive Edge in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She continues to work in her studio and produce and exhibit her own artwork of paintings, sculpture, and prints.

An accomplished artist and photographer, Meredith Buzzell is a 1999 graduate of Annandale High School. In 2004, she graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Intermont College with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography and Digital Imaging, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art with Licensure PreK-12 and a Concentration in Ceramics. At Virginia Intermont College Meredith was a member of Alpha Chi, a National Honor Society dedicated to students in the top 10% of their class, and was selected for Who's Who among American Colleges and University's.

Meredith returned to Annandale High school in 2004 and is looking forward to a career devoted to helping students achieve their creative potential. In the pursuit of keeping up to date with the latest photographic technology, Meredith continues to develop her creative talents and enhances her teaching with the exhibition of her own photographic portfolios.

She is the sponsor of the National Art Honor Society, an honor society that promotes the arts and art education among high school students. She is the sponsor/instructor for the Annandale High School Marching Atoms Colorguard and Winter Guard
