ArtSpeak! News:

ArtSpeak! is a program that brings artists from Broadway and around the country into our schools. Each artist talks about his or her career, answers questions from the audience, performs, and signs autographs.  Held at nearby Poe Middle School in Annandale, this program is intended for both middle school and high school students with their families.  It allows high school students to learn from and ask questions of some of the leading actors in the world.  Performances are FREE. This program is underwritten by a corporate grant from Shugoll Research.

2007 - 2008 ArtSpeak! Schedule
ArtSpeak! returns for its 11th season!

Lea Michele - This 22 year old currently stars on Broadway as Wendla in Spring Awakening. Michele practically grew up on stage, making her Broadway debut at age 8 as Young Cosette in Les Mis followed by her creation of the role of Tateh’s daughter at age 11 in Ragtime. She also appeared in the 2004 Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof. In the DC area, she starred at Round House Theatre as Anne in The Diary of Anne Frank.

Come hear her sing, talk about her unique career, answer you questions, and sign autographs. You might be picked from the audience to play "Three Questions" and win an autographed CD. Everyone can play ArtSpeak! trivia and win prizes. The first 100 students get an ArtSpeak! bracelet. AHS choral student Jane Rabinovitz co-hosts this program (so come see her in action!).
