Technology at Buzz Aldrin Elementary is used by all of the staff. Each teacher and specialist has been given a laptop through the Fairfax County Public Schools Elementary Laptop Initiative. These laptops serve as the teacher's computer workstation, computer demonstration device, and they can be taken home for continued use.

Buzz Aldrin Elementary is also equipped with two complete computer labs that are used by the teachers for a variety of lessons. One lab is a complete laptop lab consisting of 27 wireless computers while the other lab has 16 wireless laptops along with 11 high-end desktops

In addition to these computer labs each classroom is equipped with at least four computers for student use. There are also a number of networked printers that are conveniently located throughout the building for the staff and students to print to. Four of the printers are colour LaserJet printers while the others are black & white LaserJets.

Each classroom has a large screen TV. These are used to display videos/dvds, programs broadcast from the school TV studio (WALD), and six cable channels. They can also be connected to the teacher's laptop for program demonstrations, display of Internet web sites, and a variety of other purposes.

In addition to the large screen TV's each teacher classroom is equipped with a SMART Board and a data projector. This has been a goal of the principal, and with the help of the PTA this was finally realized.
